With a focus on bespoke, personalized services, João opened his first exclusive atelier in the 1980s. In order to satisfy growing customer demand, a standalone store was also opened around the same time.

João graduated from the most eminent of Portugal’s fashion colleges. These included the School of Decorative Arts António Arroio and the Textile Engineering School. He has refined his aesthetics gradually over the years, becoming a multifaceted label as well as a worldwide red-carpet celebrity favorite.
