It is not often that a talent like Paul Vasileff emerges at so young an age. Under his direction, his South Australian-based label ‘Paolo Sebastian’ has earned a very loyal customer base and worldwide acclaim.

From the time Paul was a young boy and his grandmother taught him to sew, each dress has told a tale. Whether inspired by classic fairy tales or whimsical fantasy, Paul’s tailoring and attention to detail have meant his must-have designs are much sought after by lovers of couture and authentic luxury. Hand embroidery, fine lace and fairy tale silhouettes are signatures of his proudly South Australian atelier.

Under his label Paolo Sebastian, Paul showed his first couture collection in 2007 and has since shown two couture collections annually. In 2016 Paul was the first South Australian to ever launch a couture collection in Paris. This ‘Gilded Wings’ collection received much critical acclaim and marked the way forward for the brand’s expansion.

A national icon in Australia, Paul is now a worldwide hit on the red carpets of the world and has a loyal celebrity following. His designs also regularly grace the covers of Australia’s top magazines like Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, and Bazaar.

In 2010, whilst attending Milan’s Istituto Europeo di Design, one of Paul’s was chosen to feature in London Fashion Week. Since then his designs have graced The Academy Awards, the Grammy Awards, and the Daytime Emmy Awards. In 2015 and 2016 Paolo Sebastian closed the Adelaide Fashion Festival with two sold-out shows.
