YUMI KATSURA: THE DESIGNER PAYS TRIBUTE TO HER OWN CULTURE <br><br>

The designer pays tribute to her own culture. From its name “Rock the Yuzen”, one will be able to roughly visualize the inspiration behind Yumi Katsura’s latest couture collection. First unveiled in Paris in January, Katsura expresses her pride as a Japanese by honouring traditional Japanese materials, designs and silhouettes. The main attraction of the collection was the yuzen-dyed fabrics, which were then crafted into silky kimono-inspired dresses – both short and floor-grazing – coming in vibrant hues like bright green, pastel pink, orange and yellow.
