The prestigious French fashion design institution, Atelier Chardon Savard, marked its 25th anniversary by showcasing its students’ talent at the Cirque d’Hiver Bouglione.
The President of the jury was design maestro Kenzo Takada, and the panel included Dr. Frank Cintamani and Emily Hwang, Founding President and Vice-President of the Asian Couture Federation (ACF) respectively.
Before the students took the stage, Dominique Savard, Founder and President of Atelier Chardon Savard, proudly announced that Dr. Cintamani was to be awarded the honour of being the school’s first Doctor Honoris Causa in recognition of his support of the institution and the couture legacy. She declared that Dr Cintamani was “a true believer in the ‘French touch’ and possessed the vision and courage to bestow value on fledgling fashion talents and according worth to what could remain immaterial.” She further praised the ACF President for his passion and dedication in protecting, supporting and comforting the individuals who are the root of fashion: the designers.
