Telstra Perth Fashion Festival (TPFF) 2014 Launch

The Asian Couture Federation’s mission to promote and support its designers and aid them in gaining international recognition, is a ceaseless pursuit of the utmost importance. This coming September, two of our illustrious Couturier Extraordinaires, Michael Cinco and Sebastian Gunawan will for the first time present their exquisite pieces in Perth, the beautiful city that is home to one of the longest standing fashion festivals.

During the festival’s launch, ACF Founding President, Dr. Frank Cintamani, proudly announced that the international couture component, “International Runway – Beyond Imagination”, will see two of the ACF’s senior members opening the week’s fashion spectacle, kicking off on the 17th September. The ACF is excited to partner with the forward thinking, inspirational team behind TPFF, and hopes to bring fresh interpretations of fashion to Australia. This will mark the beginning of the journey to position Perth as the ‘Gateway to Asia’, and more pragmatically, challenge the way people perceive and engage with fashion.

Perth Fashion Festival founder and director Mariella Harvey-Hanrahan, quipped that working with more established designers, and in particular designers who have risen to international acclaim, would not only raise the profile of TPFF, but also attract more international designers to showcase in Perth.

Furthermore, with the immense response from the world’s media, and considerable support from Telstra, the leading telecommunications company in Australia, the forthcoming fashion extravaganza is definitely one to mark on your fashion calendar!
