Commenting on the international line up, Dr. Frank Cintamani, Founding President of the Asian Couture Federation (ACF) and Chairman of FIDé Fashion Weeks said “The Vietnam International Fashion Week heralds a key milestone in Vietnam’s fashion history. The presence of so many international designers alongside those from Vietnam is particularly exciting, it is also an excellent opportunity to encourage and recognise designers who are not afraid to be experimental in their creations, to push their own boundaries amongst other talented avant-garde designers. Likewise, I am delighted that so many of the international designers are from the Asia Couture Federation, fulfilling our long held desire to expose these unique creative talents to new markets and opportunities.”
Representing Vietnam, in addition to Nguyen Cong Tri (as an ACF designer), will be eight exciting and talented designers including: Adrian Anh Tuan; Chung Thanh Phong; Hoang Hai; Hoang Minh Ha; Le Thanh Hoa; Vo Thi Li Lam; Ly Giam Tien and Thanh Nga. Covering the full spectrum of creativity and styles, this will be the most extensive showcase of high level Vietnamese fashion talent to have taken place. Recognising this, Le Thi Quynh Trang, Founder of Multimedia JSC, said, “The Vietnam International Fashion Week will be a unique showcase of the exceptional design talent that exists in Vietnam. The increasing recognition of the artistry and workmanship of our designers will be brought to new heights by placing them on a truly international platform.”
Bringing glamour and exclusivity to the Vietnam International Fashion Week will be an opening night Gala Dinner on the 1st December. With an expected attendance of 300 guests comprising VIPs, fashion leaders and media, it will be a highlight moment of the week. Guests will enjoy a spectacular evening of food and fashion, leading entertainment and an opportunity to meet many of the participating couturiers and designers.
A symbol of Vietnam’s rapid expansion and growth, the Vietnam International Fashion Week will take place at the newly opened GEM Center in the Central Business District of Ho Chi Minh City. This state of the art development boasts innovative design architecture and inspiring spaces. This resonates with the creative direction of the Vietnam International Fashion Week, which will present designers renowned for their cutting edge, avant-garde and progressive creations. As such, it will be the perfect venue and backdrop for the week.
