The magnificent runway shows continued on Day 4 of Vietnam International Fashion Week with Asian Couture Federation (ACF) Invited Member, Tsolomandakh Munkhuu, famed AltaRoma Couturier, Antonio Grimaldi along with Vietnam’s own Hoang Minh Ha and Li Lam showcasing their collections to Vietnam and indeed the world.

Vietnamese household name Li Lam set the evening in motion as she displayed the most recent collection from her eponymous label which celebrated Vietnamese cultural identity and the female figure. Li Lam’s unique interpretation of fashion trends was followed by Tsolmandakh Munkhuu’s stunning creations from her Tsolo Munkh label. With the Mongolian Steppes and traditional Buddhist elements serving as inspirations, the ACF Invited Member presented her latest creations which channeled the ferocity within every woman by juxtaposing intricate and voluminous embroidery against flowing silhouettes. As the final model walked down the runway and Tsolmondakh Munkhuu took her bow, she received a resounding applause from the audience.

Continuing the evening was none other than winner of Vietnam Project Runway Season 1, Hoang Minh Ha, who represents a new breed of Vietnamese design talent. The celebrated designer’s “Ladies” collection boasted an international appeal while still paying homage to his Vietnamese heritage. Closing the evening on a high note, esteemed AltaRoma couturier Antonio Grimaldi exhibited the highest level of creativity and savoir-faire in his most recent collection which was a true testament to the exacting standards to which a globally renowned couturier adheres by. The mesmerising designs from the Italian couturier were truly an inspiration and a sight not to be missed.

As the final night of VIFW began, 18 year old winner of Vietnam Project Runway Season 2, Ly Giam Tien took centre stage and dazzled the audience with his structural creations, use of eclectic materials and unbridled creativity which was followed by the winners of the prestigious Atelier Chardon Savard Paris Promotion competition. Lucie Lee, Laura Lebouteiller and Claire Cornille collectively presented 3 incredibly unique collections demonstrating the skills they acquired from one of the world’s foremost fashion institutions which Ly Giam Tien will attend next year.

Kicking off the final segment before the live collective show on VTV3 on the 6th of December was Parisian label Defined Moment helmed by Vietnamese born Thanh Nga. Defined Moment’s presentation at VIFW was an exemplification of beauty which was conveyed through an unusual combination of techniques and materials and as the final model walked the runway, the audience was left awestruck. Closing the week of fashion action at VIFW was none other than Korea’s maestro of menswear, Mr Zio Song of SONGZIO. The Asian Couture Federation Governor presented his Spring Summer 2015 collection which was characterised by boxy patterns, fluid silhouettes and was accentuated by the revered designer’s tasteful choice of fabric. As Mr. Zio Song joined the models on the runway during the finale, he was met with a standing ovation and thunderous applause.

As the final runway show concluded, Mr. Zio Song was joined on stage by FIDé Fashion Weeks Chairman Dr. Frank Cintamani, Asian Couture Federation Vice President Ms. Emily Hwang and Multimedia JSC founder Ms. Le Thi Quynh Trang for a toast to the success of the inaugural Vietnam International Fashion Week.
