MAC x Guo Pei Make up Collaboration

A staple on the most glamorous red carpet events around the world, and having dressed A listers from Zhang Ziyi to Li Bing Bing, Madam Guo Pei is no stranger to the international world of fashion. On the other hand, M.A.C Cosmetics is the most represented make up expert on the fashion runway, with presence in 23 fashion weeks and approximately 850 shows around the world each year. It was therefore a marriage in heaven when a collaboration between the two mega-brands was conceived. The 16-piece collection Madam Guo Pei designed for M.A.C took three years to come to fruition.

Inspired by the colours of the universe, each and every piece in the collection signifies a certain value and philosophy that Madam Guo Pei subscribes to, and hopes to spread to the world around her. During an interview, Madam Guo Pei revealed that she picked the unusual azure blue for the eyeshadow and eyeliner range because she feels it is the colour of the soul, while she chose pink and coral for the lip colours for their association with happiness. For the first time, there is more to make up than meets the eye.
