One Small Step for Dubai-Based Designers, One Giant Leap for Michael Cinco

Sunday night, a small and intimate crowd of industry insiders gathered to celebrate a milestone in the career of Dubai-based Filipino couturier Michael Cinco. With the support of the Asian Couture Federation (ACF), Cinco has been invited to present at Paris Couture Week on July 3rd in front of an audience that will include key media, buyers, and influencers. The show will feature his Fall/Winter 2016 collection and a special collaboration with Couturissimo comprising of over 30 looks. Couturissimo is an online platform backed by the ACF and built to bridge the gap between couture designers and consumers by creating accessibly priced couture-level creations following a “see now, buy now” retail strategy.

The man of the hour, whose elegant and elaborate designs have helped define the eveningwear scene in the region and beyond, was humble and thankful as he told guests, “I am delighted to be presenting my Fall/Winter 2016 Couture collection in Paris this July. Couture has always been my passion and the opportunity to present my work is a tremendous honor.”
