COUTURíSSIMO at the French Chamber of Commerce Gala Dinner
Coinciding with the visit to Indonesia by Mr. François Hollande, President of the Republic of France, the French Embassy and French Chamber of Commerce in Jakarta held a number of events celebrating the cultural collaboration between France and Indonesia. Kicking off the President’s visit and celebrating French savoir-faire, the French Chamber of Commerce Indonesia hosted a gala dinner celebrating French savoir-faire, at the Raffles Hotel Jakarta on the 26th March. Focusing on the close collaboration between France and Indonesia, the evening was attended by their Excellencies, Jean Charles Berthonnet (Ambassador of France to Indonesia), Vincent Guerend, (Ambassador of the European Union) and Hotmangaradja Pandjaitan, (Ambassador of Indonesia to France).
Providing glamour were the iconic French actress and muse of Yves Saint Laurent, Catherine Deneuve and renowned Indonesian actress, Christine Hakim. They were joined by Philippe Augier (Président Chambre de Commerce Franco Indonésienne) and Marc Piton (Directeur, Insitut Francais). Representing the Asian Couture Federation and its groundbreaking initiative COUTURiSSIMO were Dr. Frank Cintamani (Founding President, Asian Couture Federation & Founder, COUTURiSSIMO and Ibu Dian M. Muljadi (Governor, Indonesia).
While, guests enjoyed haute cuisine from two Michelin Star chef Jean-François Piège, they were also presented with two specially curated fashion shows. The first featuring the couture work of Indonesian couturier Sebastian Gunawan and French Couture House On Aura Tout Vu. This was followed by a hugely successful presentation of their collaborative work for COUTURiSSIMO with a number of key pieces gracing the floral themed runway.
