COUTURíSSIMO Showcase to the President of France
COUTURíSSIMO was given special status and a seal of approval with an invitation to present in front of Mr. François Hollande, (now former President of The Republic of France) at the Harris Vertu Harmoni Hotel. Themed ‘Creative Economy and Cultural Industries’, this was part of an overall theme around creativity in film, art and fashion, which was represented in a number of billion-dollar MOU’s between France and Indonesia. This marked one of his final State visits as the President of France. The event was attended by the Minister of Communication Mr. Rudiantara, Christine Hakim, Catherine Deneuve, Reza Rahardian among others. Celebrating Indonesian-French cultural ties, COUTURiSSIMO presented a specially curated showcase featuring the work of Sebastian Gunawan and On Aura Tout Vu.
Commenting on this, Dr. Frank Cintamani, Founder of COUTURíSSIMO and Founding President of the Asian Couture Federation said: “It was an honour to be the only fashion brand and digital initiative being invited by H.E. Mr. François Hollande, President of the French Republic, to present to a delegation of 500 during a state visit focusing on Creative Economy and Cultural Industries in a Digital World. This was an incredibly important milestone for COUTURíSSIMO, being formally recognised as having successfully created an integration of the Couture industry onto a digital platform. COUTURíSSIMO was created by the Asian Couture Federation to support our member designers and aims to preserve the creative artistry of Couture as one of the most significant contribution to the cultural industries.”
Having fostered a close relationship with France over the last few years, we are delighted to welcome Mr. Emmanuel Macron as its new President and congratulate him and his new administration. We look forward to working together in the future based on a mutual appreciation and desire to support the couture industry.
