ACF Awards – The Power of Partnership

As the most prominent awards ceremony in Asia, the success of such an event depends on the support and partnership of a great many people.

Set in the Marina Bay Sands, the Asian Couture Federation is proud to continue its longstanding partnership with the iconic landmark and to have them as its ‘Presenting Partner’ for the awards ceremony. Organised by FIDé Fashion Weeks the evening was a celebration of the world of couture and the talents that contribute to its success.

Given its regional and global status, the night saw over 400 guests drawn from all corners of the globe. With members of Royalty, VIP’s and celebrities, the evening reflected the multinational diversity and global reach of the Asian Couture Federation. Their presence would not have been possible without our Official Airlines Partner, Malaysian Airlines, who very kindly flew in the contingent of international couturiers, their teams and guests to Singapore.

Ensuring our VIPs arrived in style was none other than Jet Quay, which ushered them into Singapore for the spectacular evening. For the contingent of over 20 guests from Australia, thanks also go to Singapore Airlines for their tremendous support. Likewise, ensuring that the priceless couture collections arrived safely in Singapore was SDV our Official Logistics Partner, the world’s pre-eminent logistics group for luxury and fashion.

The runway shows were greatly enhanced through carefully curated hair and make up. Often reflecting the vision of the couturiers, the looks were pulled together by some of the region’s most prominent stylists. Official Hair partner, Shunji Matsuo, deftly handled the entire evening creating numerous elegant hairstyles to complement the models and gowns. Official Make Up partner, MAC Cosmetics created ethereal and beautiful make up looks to accentuate the elegance of the couture collections being presented on the runway. Their stylists were also in hand to provide up-to-date beauty tips and guidance to guests.

Adding a touch of glamour to the evening were the exquisite timepieces from leading luxury horological brand and Official Time partner, DelaCour. Gracing the cocktail area with specially created displays, a select number of timepieces were also carefully curated into the Asian Couture Federation couture show. Similarly at the awards ceremony, exquisite craftsmanship was on display with the stunning awards which had been hand crafted by renowned glass makers Liu Li Gong Fang and which reflected the significance of the awards being bestowed. Further pieces of their exquisite glassware helped to bring a further touch of elegance to the main tables, which graced either side of the runway.

No awards gala would be complete without fine wine and food. In continuation of a long-term partnership, the Asian Couture Federation was delighted to welcome renowned celebrity chef Hide Yamamoto who created a gastronomic tour de force with his specially prepared menu. This was complemented by champagne from Devaux, which proved to be the perfect accompaniment to the evening’s celebrations, as were the canapés and petit fours created especially by TWG Tea, our Official Tea partner. For the fashion conscious lovers of vodka, Cavalli Vodka created two special cocktails for the evening – Cobra and Marabu.

Reflecting a long-term collaboration with Japan, the Asian Couture Federation was delighted to partner with a number of leading Japanese businesses. In addition to world famous Hide Yamamoto and of course Shunji Matsuo, the evening also partnered with JCCI as the Official Japan Partner. Further, it was also honoured to once again present leading Japanese skincare Felice Towako Cosme as the Official Skincare, and Marcys as the Official Talent Agency.

Integrating a strong element of technology into the night was Official Electronics Partner, Samsung whose world-class TV screens help to convey the rich and varied contents to guests around the room. Similarly, helping to bring life to the ateliers set up in the Couturista Party was a carefully selected range of furniture from Events Partner. The importance of media and social media was also reflected in the evening’s partnerships with L’Officiel and Clozette, with L’Officiel creating its own unique space and giving guests a deeper insight into the world of fashion.

The additional support of key partners such as Celton, Golden Group, EMultimedia, Escarpment Group and Damo also ensured the success of the Asian Couture Federation Awards Gala and Couturista Party. Their collective support demonstrated not only the tremendous breadth of relationships and networks of the Asian Couture Federation but also underlined the power of partnerships in the success of Asia’s most prominent awards ceremony and fashion party.
